Oh yes...

I think I forgot to mention (although it should be obvious from the previous post) - I decided not to move to NYC. Firstly, it seemed like a huge hassle... one that I really didn't want to deal with at the moment and secondly, it seemed like a better idea to not be moving around so early in my career. Smart? I dunno.

Plus, all the moving money could be used for shopping. And a weekend in Vegas. And possibly a road trip this summer... and paint for the kitchen. And plants. And lots of booze. Lots of booze.

Well, that's cool. Sounds like a good decision, at least economically. Change is a pain in the ass, anyway. And since teaching is too, much better to have the money for alcohol to numb the pain! :)

I love reading about your school experiences, particularly about Julius Caesar and politics. (And, I love HD too, specially the way he makes everyone squirm with his words!)

It's very expensive to live in NYC, and a lot of the teachers recruited by the various intergalactic searches have gone away disappointed. If you do secide to come, though, one of these days, there are a lot of kids sorely in need of your services.
